February 16, 2026 – Phone Call Update

On February 16, Wade was able to place a phone call and requested that supporters be informed of recent developments regarding his current conditions at Union Correctional Institution.

Change in Housing Status

Wade shared that he has been returned to restrictive housing following an allegation that razor blades were found in his cell. He unequivocally denies this allegation and states that he did not possess any razor blades.

As a result of this allegation, he is now facing an additional disciplinary report, which could result in approximately 90 days in confinement.

At the time of this posting, the publicly displayed housing status has not yet been updated to reflect this change. Wade was informed that the status would change accordingly.

Procedural Concerns Raised

Wade also expressed concerns regarding how the search was conducted. He stated that:

• No supervisory official was present at the time the alleged items were discovered

• No documented inventory of his personal property was provided to him

• No recorded footage was shown confirming the discovery in the location described

There are additional details that cannot be shared publicly for security reasons.

Current Focus

Our priority is Wade and his safety. While this situation is difficult, we remain committed to standing with him and ensuring his voice is heard.

Appropriate parties have been notified, and we will continue doing everything we can to ensure his rights are respected and not ignored.
