Official Status Update – Disciplinary Confinement
On Friday, February 20, 2026, the Florida Department of Corrections website updated Wade’s status to reflect Disciplinary Confinement.
On February 23, 2026, we received direct confirmation from Union Correctional Institution regarding this classification. According to the response provided by a Senior Classification Officer, Wade’s disciplinary confinement is scheduled to end on April 13, 2026. The facility indicated that he was found guilty of one FDC rule violation.
This official confirmation aligns with what Wade previously shared regarding his return to disciplinary confinement and the anticipated timeframe.
Timeline of Events
February 16, 2026 – Wade placed a phone call outlining the conditions he was facing and stating that he was being returned to Disciplinary Confinement.
February 20, 2026 – The FDOC online portal updated his housing status to Disciplinary Confinement.
February 20, 2026 – An email was sent to the Classification Officer requesting verification of the approximate duration of disciplinary confinement.
February 23, 2026 – A response was received confirming an expected end date of April 13, 2026.
April 13, 2026 - Confinement scheduled to end
While disciplinary confinement limits certain privileges, letters and commissary remain meaningful during this period.
